When you post a lost cat, you receive an edit link on the success page and in your confirmation email. Use this link to update details, mark the cat as reunited (and share your reunion story), or change the photo. If you've lost the link, contact us with your report ID and we can verify ownership. Found cat reports can be managed by local teams or our admins.

If the cat appears healthy and safe, register it on Find My Cat with a photo and the location where you found it. This helps the owner identify their pet. Your email address is masked on public pages (e.g. j***@example.com) to protect you from spam and crawlers. Owners can still reach you via a mailto link. Your phone number, if provided, is shown only on the cat's detail page so finders can contact you quickly.

When you post a lost cat, our local volunteer rescue teams in your city are notified and can help organize ground searches, humane trapping, poster distribution, and foster care for found cats. Teams are especially valuable for recovering shy or frightened cats that won't approach their owners.
