- Guests arriving — door open longer than usual.
- Children visiting may chase or startle the cat.
- Kitchen activity may drive the cat outside.
- Guests leaving late — doors open in the dark.
Prevention Tips
- Create a cat safe room before guests arrive.
- Put a "Cat inside — keep door closed" sign.
- Brief guests about your cat.
- Keep Thanksgiving food away — onions, garlic, grapes are toxic.
